Biography

We are sad to announce that Karen Trivett, wife of Terry Trivett, Biology Professor emeriti, passed away on July, 4, 2010 in her home, surrounded by family and friends. Karen was 65 years old at the time of her death. A memorial service will be held on July 17, 2010 in the Pacific Union College Church Sanctuary at 4:00 p.m.
Karen is survived by her husband, Terry, sons Michael and Mark, mother Esther Brown, brother David Brown and three grandchildren.

Karen was a 1967 graduate of Walla Walla College in Washington State and taught one and a half years in their School of Nursing before coming to Angwin. She was an instructor in the Pacific Union College Nursing Department from 1969 to 1972. Karen continued nursing in the Hospice and Home Health program in the Napa Valley caring for two generations of vintners. She tenderly cared for many of the AIDS patients in the County. Karen is remembered as a dedicated nurse lovingly serving the community in the Hospice and Home Health programs for 30 years.
